What’s Involved

Each patient will receive a customised approach to the procedure, which may include either a full or partial facelift/neck lift. Discreet incisions are made, typically around the hairline or behind the ears, allowing for the skin to be gently pulled and tightened, with any excess trimmed as needed. Depending on the chosen techniques, muscles may also be tightened.

A mini-facelift primarily targets the upper face, while a full facelift/neck lift addresses the entire facial profile, including the mid-face, jawline, and neck skin. This procedure can achieve desired outcomes independently or may be combined with other facial surgeries or treatments.

Treatment Duration

The duration of treatment depends on the type of facelift needed. A mini facelift typically takes 1-1.5 hours to complete, while a full facelift/neck lift may require more time. If additional surgical procedures, like eyelid surgery, are included, the treatment duration may be prolonged.

Type Of Anaesthesia

For facial rejuvenation and contouring, we may administer either a local aesthetic (with sedation) or general anaesthesia, depending on the chosen approach and techniques. Before patients are discharged from our care, a comprehensive examination will be conducted, and they will be provided with all necessary aftercare instructions.

Aftercare Requirements

Rest is crucial following any surgical procedure. It’s recommended to maintain low activity levels and avoid heavy lifting or strenuous exercise for approximately 2 weeks. In some cases, we may suggest wearing a bandage around the head and neck for a few days post-procedure. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled one week after surgery, during which any stitches may be removed. Over-the-counter pain relief can help manage any post-treatment discomfort.

Back To Work (Recovery)

It usually takes about 2-3 weeks for a full recovery. During this period, swelling and bruising will noticeably decrease, and the patient will start feeling more at ease. Depending on the nature of their job, they may need to take around 2 weeks off work, and it’s advisable to maintain low activity levels during this time.
